Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Mechanical Inspector I to support quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials through final product. This role will interpret specifications, quality requirements, and purchase orders to ensure products meet customer requirements.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and PO’s with an understanding of quality requirements, specification and purchase orders
  • Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
  • Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
  • Create NCR’s and ensure dispositions are completed
  • Enforce company quality standards with special regard to: customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries
  • Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test
  • Participate in 5 “S” activities as assigned
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values
  • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager

 

Must have for this role:

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic use of inspection hand tools.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software.
  • Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others 

 

Nice to have:

  • Ability to read and understand work orders and other job related documents.
  • One or more years of experience in the inspection field
  • Previous experience working in a ISO AS 9001 organization
