Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is looking for you to join our team as a Machine Operator at our Belton, TX facility. 

 

As a Machine Operator, your primary responsibilities will include performing daily machine changeovers and preparation. You will also be involved in powder mixing or material preparation following established processes and procedures. During machine changeovers, you may carry out minor maintenance tasks on production equipment. When issues with machines or materials arise, you will work closely with the maintenance team and programmers. Your role will focus on maximizing machine uptime, adhering to good manufacturing practices, and ensuring document control by signing and scanning all operations to completion. Additionally, you will handle materials in line with quality standards and conduct material testing as needed.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Staging and storage of raw materials
  • Prepare Materials such as powders to be loaded into machines
  • Prepare and load machines for the next build
  • Start machines for new or additional builds
  • Perform minor maintenance if needed
  • Resolve problems that arise during build prep or the build, collaborating with programmers and maintenance as needed
  • Clean manufacturing floor after changeovers/end of day
  • Remove finished builds from machines and take to breakout area
  • Clean-up auxiliary equipment
  • Clean and prep the machine for the next build
  • As needed perform the material stripping operation
  • Document and update databases, and any material or build logs
  • Document Incoming raw materials
  • Maintain service records and reports
  • Keep machine areas and machines clean at all times
  • Follows all standard operating processes and procedures i.e., ISO, ITAR and Aerospace
  • Follow all company and specifically departmental safety policies and procedures
  • Attend all required company training
  • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager​​​​​​​

 

Must have for this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience (manufacturing or production environment), preferably as a machine operator
  • Intermediate reading and writing
  • Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office and email
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude skills and manual dexterity for operating machinery
  • Problem solving skills offering ideas for possible solutions
  • Critical thinking skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of properties of plastics
  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from 
    accepted practice
  • Requires instructions only on new assignments
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
