Position description
As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the production process. You will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control processes that help ensure the reliability and performance of Stratasys 3D printers. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold Stratasys’ commitment to delivering top-tier products to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct inspections and tests on 3D printer components, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to monitor and maintain adherence to quality control processes.
- Evaluate and audit supplier processes to help ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Partner with procurement teams to address supplier-related quality issues and drive improvements.
- Stay current with relevant industry standards and regulations and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and certifications.
- Investigate and analyze non-conformities, defects, and customer complaints to identify root causes.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control documentation, including inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Keep detailed records of quality data and generate reports to communicate trends and improvement opportunities.
- Provide training to production teams on quality control processes and standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, attend required company training, demonstrate Stratasys behaviors, and complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Four-year degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with 3D printing technology and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to be export control compliant, including ITAR compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting quality control activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action processes, or supplier quality activities.
- Interest in additive manufacturing, 3D printing technology, and continuous improvement practices.
