Stratasys are looking to recruit a Purchaser/Buyer to join the United Kingdom production facility located in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Reporting into the Purchasing Manager you will liaise closely with suppliers, manage lead times together with the expectations of the production team ensuring that there is no interruption or delays to the production process

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute procurement of goods from manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers
  • Manage purchase orders end to end – from issue to delivery of goods.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers, maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information.
  • Update internal databases with order details.
  • Monitor open purchase orders to ensure that orders received are on time, accurate and handle any discrepancies which may arise.
  • Ensure goods received are not damaged.
  • Work closely and maintain strong working relationships with relevant supply chain, contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with regional offices and local management and colleagues. Periodically attend supplier and internal meetings.
  • Ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
  • Supplier day to day management, improve vendor performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing role preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Good understanding of products in the industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance immediate and long-term priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to multitask
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive and professional manner
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with Oracle – an advantage
