The Process Manufacturing Engineering (PME) group supports this goal with technical expertise in manufacturing, process, advanced materials and applications experience across all technology offerings.

 

The Senior Black Belt will lead the evaluation, analysis, planning, design and implementation of key process improvement projects to help the company achieve its goals using Lean and Six Sigma methodology and analytics.  These projects will lead to measurable business process improvements, cost savings, and increased revenue.  The Senior Black Belt will also be instrumental in proliferating a quality and excellence mindset throughout the company demonstrated by their own behaviors.

 

  • Use Lean and Six Sigma methodology and analytics to measure business process improvements and drive change
  • Create project plans, communicate at all levels, and be responsible for managing and completing them
  • Set the strategy for the Six Sigma project implementation with the help of additional team members, where available
  • Define the problem, measure current state, collect data and analyze it to propose business case options for deliberation
  • Apply manufacturing principles to remove process steps that reduce waste and train other team members to use Lean, Six Sigma tools, techniques and perform root cause analysis


As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial) - BS and 8+ years with production or manufacturing process experience and demonstrated Black Belt leadership or MS and 6+ years with production or manufacturing process experience and demonstrated Black Belt leadership
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and practical knowledge of a wide variety of industrial engineering tools with familiarity in operations management, lean and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience deploying Black Belt projects using lean principles and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies to achieve continuous / sustained improvement goals
  • Experience with statistical and process management software, such as Minitab, along with flow-charting software or process mapping software
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods for improvements in process performance (DOE, ANOVA, Sample Size Selection, Monte Carlo Simulations, MSA, etc.,)
  • Must have solid ISO 9001 and AS 9100 experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a job shop or Service Bureau
  • Experience with 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing in polymers and metals
  • Medical device manufacturing/production experience and a strong understanding of FDA and IEC standards
  • Experience to train, lead, mentor, coach, and inspire individuals and team involved in process improvements
