Stratasys is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Austin, TX facility.  In this role, you will get to consult with the project engineering team, sales, and customers on manufacturing solutions that meet their technical and schedule requirements.  This role would have you assessing risk and providing solutions for technical challenges from our customers.  You would develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing method and workflow.  This would allow you to interface with suppliers to secure services that are necessary to meet the customer requirements and support other departments regarding the production schedule and other considerations to facilitate the production process.

 

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing operations with knowledge of DMLS and design for manufacturing in additive and conventional manufacturing industries.
  • Experience designing complex 3D parts/mechanical systems in CAD
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with PPAP packages, control plans and design of experiments
  • Experience with Aerospace and Medical Device specs and regulations
  • Proficient with python programming language

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%
