Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is currently seeking a Lead / CNC Programmer to work out of our Austin, TX facility.  In this role you will assist department management in directing team personnel in their job assignments, organize the jobs to the machines, and validate holding and tooling availability to complement even workflow and information exchange.  You will work in support of quoting machining processes, providing technical advice relating to machining processes, and ensuring workflow document management, and works in coordination with the DMLM team to ensure consistent support and information exchange.  A couple other responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate schedule with department management to facilitate even production flow and high on time delivery performance
  • Review customer models and prints to provide machining labor cost and lead time estimates
  • Lead team in ensuring the scheduled jobs are processed in appropriate order
  • Determine tooling and fixture requirements
  • Read and understand technical drawings with GD&T


As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 



  • Technical education in CNC Operations & Programming
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machine operation and programming
  • Full competency using MasterCam software for lathe, mill & EDM
  • High level of competency in technical drawing interpretation and GD&T application
