Interested in working with a cutting edge technology company?  Working in a variety of tasks and supporting our Austin, TX facility we are looking for a Machinist.  Our Austin facility is a small group working in additive manufacturing and 3D Printing.


Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is looking for you to join our team as a Machinist at our Austin, TX facility.  In this role you will produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines.  You may do some programming of the equipment and you will maintain quality and safety standards, keep records, and maintain equipment and supplies.  Some of the responsibilities of this role are:

  • Review set up sheet and work order to understand requirements
  • Read and understand technical drawings with GD&T specifications
  • Review programming and set up machine for job requirements
  • Calculate speeds and feeds for multiple materials
  • Select tooling for specific situations.


As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. 



  • Technical Degree or Certification in CNC Operations or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC machines
  • Math and computer skills to include MasterCam and G-Code.



  • General knowledge of CNC programming
  • Experience operating CNC lathes, machining centers, and EDM machines
