Stratasys is offering a role based in our Rheinmünster office as Additive Manufacturing Engineer EMEA. Reporting to the Head of the Additive Manufacturing Center, this position forms the backbone and backup for all technical employees in the field and works proactively and solution-oriented with our products in order to support the field staff in the best possible way, to prepare and to share corresponding experiences and achievements.


The role: 

We strive to support our Customer and Partners all around the Customer Journey aiming for best possible Customer Experience. This includes various activities related to Pre-Sales and Post-Sales support including:

  • Development of customer specific solutions and prototypes
  • Finding solutions for existing customer problems
  • Presentation of our products, applications and best practices during trade fairs and in-house visits
  • Technical backup for all technical inquiry from the field
  • Contact person for any technical questions in the organization and from outside

The role is hosted within the Additive Manufacturing Center Team in EMEA headquarter and works very closely and is embedded in virtual technology-focused teams and the Global Application Engineering Network. Location: Rheinmünster, Germany. 


Required skillset: 

  • Finished study in mechanical engineering or comparable
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a industrial engineering position or comparable
  • Knowledge in Additive Manufacturing technologies (preferably in PolyJet, FDM, Sinter-Technologies, DLP, SLA)
  • Experience in Preparation Software (preferably in Materialise Magics, NetFabb)
  • High skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT and preferably MS Project)
  • Experience in image processing programs (like Blender, Photoshop, Rhino)
  • 3D CAD knowledge (preferably in Solidworks)
  • Profound understanding of mechanical engineering 
  • Professional project management skills
  • Solid German and English, verbal and written
  • Team player while able to work autonomous
  • Reliability, accountability and discreetness 
  • Good and fast mental capacity
  • Resilience, ability to work on multiple projects under time pressure
  • Enthusiasm for technical developments
  • Innovative, always seeking for innovative solutions to business challenges
