In this role: We are seeking Infrastructure Engineers who are passionate about building and maintaining world-class cloud infrastructure using industry-leading technologies including AWS, Terraform, Docker and Helm.  The position is based in our Cambridge, UK office, we support hybrid working but you will need to live in a commutable distance.  If you’re good, passionate and love to build great products then read on. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working on Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Cloud Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code for cutting-edge software for 3D printing. We’ve been at the forefront of 3D printing innovation for more than 25 years. We’re trusted worldwide by leading manufacturers and groundbreaking designers, makers, thinkers and doers.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Providing a high-quality Infrastructure to improve current product and platform offerings and building new product and platform offerings. 

  • Support the software organization in adopting a Platform strategy at the infrastructure level 

What you will be doing: 

  • 70% execution, we don't spend a lot of time in meetings,  

  • 10% meetings, we subscribe to an agile methodology through scrum 

  • 10% working with co-workers, our team collaborates and listens to all viewpoints, we regularly stay behind after standup to discuss an issue and how we think we could solve it. 

  • 10% learning and training, we are committed to on-going personal improvement  

  • You will be part of a high-powered software Infrastructure team committed to producing world-changing products.

 Must have for this role: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar 

  • 5+ years experience in a Cloud Infrastructure role 

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (Networking, Compute, Serverless, billing), Terraform, Helm and Docker: design, security, best practices. 

  • Experience creating and/or maintaining production software delivery pipelines using CI/CD tools(Such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Etc.) 

  • Production experience with Kubernetes  

 Nice to have: 

  • Experience with Python 

  • Experience with Redis, Postgres, Elasticsearch  

  • Experience with Ruby and/or Chef a plus 

  

Travel required: 3% No essential travel but there will be opportunities to visit sites etc.
