About the role
We are seeking an Applications Engineer to join the Stereolithography team who are based in Aylesbury, UK. This is a hands-on role for a motivated individual who genuinely thrives in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. It will provide a stimulating and unique opportunity for the right candidate.
Essential responsibilities:
- Develop customer applications to enable customer success
- Clarify and define customer requirements, identify unmet needs
- Demonstrate the technology’s capability of solving specific technical challenges
- Keep track of diverse applications, and be on the lookout for prototypical applications that may be representative of larger opportunities
- Print parts that impress
- Challenging escalated customer benchmark parts
- New materials, machine/material qualification parts
- Analyse data, create print reports and cost estimates
- Be the Voice of the Customer to the product organization
- Collect and organize customer application-level feedback: bugs and material or HW/SW feature requests
- Provide input to requirements documents for future products
- Provide high-level technical support to other AEs, customers, and sales reps
- Solve design, supporting, printer challenges
- Engage with the global SSYS community providing top-tier support to address the biggest challenges
- Effectively work directly with the management, engineering, customers, and resellers
Experience (required):
- 5+ years experience of relevant work experience in the 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing industry
Experience (preferred):
- 2+ years experience using Industrial stereolithography
- 2+ years experience using Materialise Magics software
- 2+ years experience using CAD/CAM software applications
- 2+ years experience Solidworks or other 3D modelling
Education required:
- A BSc in Mechanical/electrical/industrial/chemical engineering or equivalent
