The Senior Operations Business Analyst position’s main responsibilities will be to operate as a trusted and strategic financial partner for the Eden Prairie Operations organization, supporting Operations leadership and the manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, planning, new product introduction, and quality departments. Perform analysis and understand key business drivers to provide clear, concise, and timely recommendations. Refine large quantities of information into concise, useful, and meaningful management reporting, with an importance on providing timely and accurate answers to key business questions. Participate in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan which includes production and expense projections. Prepare leadership presentations, quarterly business reviews, and AOP presentations.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Support business leaders with annual budget development and ongoing budgetary control processes to ensure that objectives are met while working within the budget framework.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly budget to actual variance analysis and understand key business issues to provide clear, concise and timely recommendations for actions.
  • Support business leaders with ongoing analysis of BOM and COGS costs and recommendations for actions.
  • Perform analysis and understand the full cost model to include impacts involving production plans, S&OP, earned hours, and absorption.
  • Assist in creation of business cases for changes involving product, process, vendor, or other items, as well as valuation and justification for capital expenditures.
  • Support internal business leaders by meeting their financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis needs.
  • Participate in the administration and upgrade of planning/reporting tools and applications.
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams to resolve a wide variety of problems or to create new processes.
  • Work closely with the Global Operations finance team to align with global standards and update processes to support local Operations.
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement in day-to-day activities.

  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attend all safety trainings related to the job.

 

Must have for this role:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Minium Three (3) years' experience with Operations finance preferably in Manufacturing.
  • Minimum Three (3) Oracle ERP (or other) and Qliksense (or other BI tools)

 

Travel required: < 5 percent
