Our Material Stripping position is responsible for understanding all our finishing techniques and the ability to complete tasks with little supervision.  In this position, it is essential for someone to be able to review work instructions and measure parts using the proper tools and techniques.  Above all, we maintain our quality in our production and compliance with our Quality Management System.

Essential Responsibilities:    

Post Production process

  • Basic Understanding of all part stripping techniques and the ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
  • Monitors equipment to ensure that products are processing properly once build is complete.
  • Review Work Instructions for product information and special needs.
  • Uses hand tools to drill, and clean excess material from parts

Quality Management

  • Responsible for compliance to all Quality Systems Management.
  • Observes and identifies faulty parts based on work orders
  • Ability to measure parts using applicable tools and software and report results.
  • Addresses problems with parts and production with Lead/Supervisor.

Miscellaneous department items

  • Makes sure that the workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
  • Restocking of supplies
  • Cleaning of trays, tables, tools
  • Perform other tasks as required by the department supervisor and leads.

Other

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and completes all safety trainings related to the job.
  • Attend all required company training

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be ITAR qualified.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience working with hands (gross and fine motor skills).
  • Demonstrates ability to learn and interpret work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Previous experience in factory or manufacturing setting is preferred
  • Takes initiative to keep working area clean and is kept free of hazardous materials at all times

Works in a manufacturing/Shop environment with other department staff, utilizing various machinery, a computer workstation with various software applications.

Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting is required on a daily basis. Individuals must be required to transport hazardous chemicals or fragile parts/ products.

Personal protective equipment is required, such as but not limited to gloves and goggles which should be worn on a regular basis.
