R&D Project Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Management of a multidisciplinary R&D project
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Technical management of the project team including hands-on work.
  • Develop a detailed project plan and key indicators to track progress and performance
  • Coordinate internal resources and relevant interfaces for the flawless execution of the project
  • Ensure project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Manage the relationship with the project team and stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Report and escalate to management as needed


 Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical Engineering
  • Master degree or higher  – will be an advantage
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in multi-disciplinary systems
  • Proven experience in managing projects or programs with emphasis on leading mechanical system design teams
  • Proven experience in managing cross functional teams with timeline management and budgetary responsibility
  • Expert knowledge of MS Project and other PM tools
  • Proven leadership
  • Outstanding inter-personal and communication skills, ensuring positive and efficient relations within the project team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Other skills: strong results orientation, quality mindset, analytical and problem-solving capabilities


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Requires supervisory responsibility over a team of up to 10 direct employees from various disciplines
  • Requires proven solid leadership of matrix team not reporting directly to him/her
