Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer supports production lines and performs defined technical projects leading to new or improved processes, manufacturing and quality systems and manufactured products.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develops significant depth in understanding FDM Consumables processes.
  • Support/Maintain processes for new technologies and materials feasibility assessment and process parameter development.
  • Oversee the cost effective, safe, and timely completion of projects.
  • Failure investigations.
  • Cost reduction projects.
  • Teamwork required with all Operations departments: manufacturing, quality and purchasing.
  • Create ECOs, DEVs, Design and BOM changes, Procedures, Documents.
  • Implement new technologies and manage sub-contractors as part of new lines or technologies.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting, and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attends all safety trainings related to the job.

 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Materials - must
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Manufacturing/ Process Engineer - must
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing (extrusion, compounding, or injection molding)- preferred.
  • SolidWorks - must
  • "Can-do" attitude, creativity, and innovation mindset - must
  • Hands-on engineer, people oriented - must
  • Familiar with Agile (product lifecycle management) system, Oracle – preferred
